Origami

Projects

Origami has been a personal hobby of mine for many years, and over time, it has evolved into a meaningful area of exploration within my architectural work. I’m fascinated by the geometric precision, spatial transformation, and material intelligence embedded in folding techniques—and how these qualities can inspire innovative architectural solutions.

I host a YouTube channel, which is focused on the exploration of origami tessellations that can be linked with architecture.

Additionally, I like to explore the parametric behaviour of the tessellations through modelling in Grasshopper.

In this video, I demonstrate a basic folding technique—the Yoshimura pattern in different scales—highlighting its geometric logic, physical behaviour and applications in architectural projects.
